How many handbags do you own?


I'm not sure of the exact number, but It’s in the realm of 50+. I've always admired designer handbags, thought they were beautiful , but never would have paid the thousands of dollars that they cost. I had friends who would save up to buy one and always thought it a huge waste of money. How things change…About 6 years ago, I married my husband who pretty much turned my world upside down. He would buy me handbag after handbag , sometimes multiple at a time. I have every designer I can think of, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Valentino, YSL, Prada, etc etc etc, and not just one but multiple. Im guessing the total amount of money we spent on handbags over a five year period is in the hundreds of thousands. The thing was each time we bought a new bag it gave me this feeling of euphoria. It felt like Christmas does to little kids. Then over time, it felt less and less special until it just became expected. I should mention that also had 3 babies in this timeframe. I am so busy taking care of 3 young children that changing my handbag to match my outfit is the last thing on my mind. I pretty much use the same one everyday, and will only change it up for something special like date night or traveling. The end results = a closet full of beautiful, expensive bags that collect dust.
