Why is women's underwear so sexualised?

Its because of all the other reasons but its also because of the mystery and intrigue around womens lingerie and panties that most men never venture into and never feel unless they are tearing them off and onto the floor.

For centuries it was taboo to even see a womans ankles so you obviously never saw her underwear and it intrigued men as to what a woman would have actually looked like had she been stripped bare of all the layers of material and hoops in the skirt and steel caged busstle at the rear. Women wore a mystery wraped in an enigma layered in taffeta calico and lace with a little bit of steel & whale bone thrown into the mix for good measure.
Now days its not uncommon to see a woman running along the street in sports tightsand a sports top leaving nothing to the imaginatio. To create mystery and inteigue these days a woman actually has to get dressed and then give slight hints about what they are wearing underneath.
A bit of lace just sticking up at the front, could it be a Bra, a corset or lacebodysuit?
A hint of a stocking top and suspender strap when attempting to sit down, is she wearing bra panties and a suspender belt or again is it a corset?

Its also because women themselves are softer and frillier than men and we like to give hints in the wrong direction to apear more or less exciting than we really are depending on who you are and what tactics we employ when flirting with you.
Then again we might just be having a bad night and thrown on a stupid clothing selection for the evening and have every male in a 4 block radius miss read this as flirting too.
It is mainly because of the advertising hype and the Victoria Secret fashion shows.
Every man knows that in reality there is a normal female sweaty body under the clothing and most likely wearing unmatched bra and panties.

But something in their brain is clouding the thoughts of reality with visions of a Vic secret model under the jeans and flanalet shirt who miraculously turns into a sexy model dressed as a peacock with the skimpiest underwear underneath. And all she is waiting for is him to make the offer to remove the top layers and set the feathers and lace free and we will suddenly turn in to his leather clad dominatrix that cant help but tie him to the bed and worship his body for hours on end then beg him not to leave.

Advertising has a lot to answer for because when the reality becomes aparent and dissapointment ensues, then a rotten night is had by all and someone ends up doing the walk of shame the next morning and again promising themselves that this will never happen again.
