What are the safest high heels for everyday?
to wear 5″ -6″ heels, they will have a platform. it is the
amount of elevation that is important. count elevation as the height of the
heel less the height of the platform. most shoes
seldom exceed 4″ elevation, so a 6″ heel will
have a 2″ platform.
It is
the fit of the shoe which is important, particularly the toe box area. secodly,
is your ankle flexibility, and third, i your foot and leg fitness. you cant go
into high elevation shoes with out a lot of practice, starting with lower
elevation such as 3″. to build up you leg, ankle and foot fitness, go for short
walks of around 20min at a time, extend this out to an hour. while at first you
will experience pain in your calf muscles, that will soon disappear until you
move u to a higher elevation.
your choice
of shoe is important. a shoe should be able to stand by itself on a flat floor
with out falling over. needs to have a strong shank (you should not be able to
bend the shoe). a chunky heel is easier for a long day. ankle boots give more support than pumps. below knee highs are popular for winter
and offers great support and can be warm.
Are you
on your feet all day? the choice will be different than as if you are sitting a
lot during the day. if sitting a lot, then higher elevation can be handled much
easier than as if you will be on your feet a long time, then I would suggest an
elevation in the 3″ - 4″ range
